Set to happen on the 4Th July was started off with a meet and greet.

Accompanied by Pique got together with many fans answering questions and taking several pictures.

And the first question that the kids asked, without hesitation, was, “Cesc, why do you not want to join Barcelona?”

He replied, as quoted by El Mundo Deportivo, “I would like to, but I have a contract with Arsenal and it is necessary to respect it.”

None of the young fans were too happy with the answer as they turned their attention to Pique.

“Why do you not convince Cesc to join Barcelona?” they asked, to which the Barcelona defender replied, “I don’t know how many times I’ve tried to convince him, but there is no way… not for now.”

Fabregas was, however, given some reprieve when a Gunners fan asked him if he is going to stay at the Emirates.

“I am the captain, and rest assured, I will continue at Arsenal,” the 22-year-old midfielder affirmed.
